About

Thank you for your interest in the Geisha Kimono by IsoMesh! This is an original mesh creation accurately designed for the flower and willow world in Second Life and the first kimono with bento capabilities.

Join the .:IsoMesh:. group for the latest information on any project updates and applier releases from third party designers: secondlife:///app/group/6130614c-e8ed-d8e9-9c68-80ef1387b8b9/about

INFORMATION:

The IsoMesh geisha kimono sets utilize an applier system similar to the ones used by the popular mesh bodies and body parts, of which you must have the main mesh component to use the available appliers. While IsoMesh offers the main mesh component for L$1500, other third-party designers can create and offer their own designs to be applied onto the mesh. Be aware that the designs by third-party designers can be offered as individual buttons to mix and match components or as a whole (one button to change everything in a set). Please see the list of available third-party designers on our website to find more styles to choose from!

Design options can be chosen for the following components:

  • Hikizuri - the main kimono

  • Eri - the inner collar that signifies rank

  • Obi - the wrap around the torso which ties in the back a certain way to signify rank

  • Obiage - the red wrap above the obi

  • Obijime - the cord wrapped around the torso to hold the obi

  • Juban - the underskirt

Although the non-bento mesh will eventually be replaced with the new bento version, non-bento is still available for use. The appliers for one version are not compatible with the other since they use different maps and scripts. Free updates on the bento mesh and its animations will come as they are available.

KIMONO MESH:

  • All updates are free!

  • Each version of the mesh has a different silk material for the hikizuri.

    • Requires use of Advanced Lighting Model under Preferences.

  • Sleeves are animated via the wings.

  • Obi-darari is animated via the tail.

  • Skirt trail is animated via the hind legs.

  • The minarai and odori hikizuri have two skirt options; flowing and shortened.

  • The maiko and geiko hikizuri have two skirt options; flowing and lifted.

  • Non-rigged obi kazari (charms) should be attached to the chest to stay between the obi and obiage.

  • Non-rigged pochorri/obidome should be attached to either the left or right peck to stay centered on the objime.

CONTROL HUD:

  • The blue up/down button controls the skirt to show either flowing or lifted.

  • The green/red on/off buttons control the obijime, obiage and kamon crests.

APPLIERS:

  • Appliers from third-party designers can be used with other appliers to mix and match designs for a unique look.

  • Third-party appliers can feature one or multiple buttons to change all or specific pieces at a time.

  • Appliers must go with their matching mesh; maiko applier to maiko mesh, and so on.

  • Bento and non-bento appliers cannot be mixed.

BENTO & ANIMATIONS:

  • Items labeled with Bento go together; such as the appliers, HUD and AO with the bento mesh.

  • AO has two cards to load; Default and Default2.

    • Default is for maiko and odori (long sleeves).

    • Default2 is for geiko and minarai (short sleeves).

  • Animations are Priority 3 so that accessories with built-in animations can still be used.

    • Except the Sleeve-type animations! Those are Priority 4 so they can be layered over non-bento animations.

  • Wearing bento animated accessories, such as tails and wings, will affect the mesh.

  • Hand pose HUDs can still be used without affecting the mesh or animations, of which I recommend this one:
